Key Performance Areas:
Promote the company’s brand through consistent marketing messaging.
Collect and maintain competitive information on local competitors
Develop sufficient knowledge of the solutions offered by suppliers in order to identify target market opportunities and implement marketing campaigns to grow market share.
Monitor industry market trends and key trends occurring in the industry.
Ensure compliance with sound technical marketing communications practices.
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, press and company staff.
Localize supplier new product launches as applicable to the addressable market.
Job RequirementsQualifications required: Electrical Engineering Degree or National Diploma in light current with subjects in the areas of telecommunications, radio engineering, electronic communications or electronic engineering that covers telecoms/electronic communications. Good computer skills and a working knowledge of applications relevant to the position. Experience: At least 2 years experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer or experience in customer support (Support Engineer, Sales, Professional Services, and a desire to move into marketing) or 2 years of experience in marketing communications in a high-tech company in the electronics industry
