Full-Time STORES MANAGER

Job Description

Maintain control over warehouse inventory and ensure that all product movement in and out of the warehouse is accounted for.
Manage all stores related activities, Receiving, Returns, Processing Stock, Dispatch, Inventory counts, Inventory Reporting, Warehouse, Customer property asset management, Quality system requirements, Housekeeping and safety.

 Assisting in all related stores activities.
 Ensure strict compliance with agreed stores principles and material receiving and storage instructions to meet standards.
 Ensure the application of efficient methods and techniques for receiving and storing components in line with inventory control requirements.
 Checking and acceptance of equipment from suppliers ensuring that no physical damage is visible and that the delivery notes and supplied equipment matches with the procurement order.
 Ensuring the storage of received equipment into the designated contract and stock bins.
 Ensuring the storage of received equipment into the designated ‘Reject’ consignment bin. Items must be accompanied with the original procurement documents to facilitate the ‘Return to Supplier’ process.
 Ensuring that all equipment required for a contract is prepared and available on the scheduled date.
 Ensuring the labelling of received equipment with a contract name & reference number for ease of future identification.
 Ensure monthly aging analysis reporting.
 Ensure monthly and some weekly business unit stock count.
 Ensuring the release of specified equipment from the stores for approved contracts and customer service calls.
 Ensuring that all equipment details and serial numbers are recorded on all documentation to allow effective traceability regarding queries.
 To avoid damage or loss to equipment by ensuring the correct handling, storage, transportation, packaging and safeguarding of equipment.
 Ensure the daily warehouse processing of data for equipment issued as per procedures put in place which includes attachment of all pertaining documents to the NetSuite/Syspro system.
 Identify and recommend opportunities to improve handling and storage methods, housekeeping and material flow in stores.
 At all times ensuring security of stock storage areas and the identification of stock, stock losses and obsolete stock.
 Ensure the smooth running of repairs with regards to receiving and dispatch to and from the repair facilities, regions and local technicians.
 Ensure committed customer service without jeopardizing the accurate receipt and storage of components and the accurate completion and processing of associated documentation.
 Ensure the efficient preparation for the accurate execution of all stock take activities.
 Ensuring that stock take results are submitted to the Financial Director’s in time as per the deadline set.
 Control access and exit to and from the stores, with particular reference to materials and non-stores staff movement.
 Report all staff issues to the Line manager.

Job Requirements

Matric Relevant qualification 4 years Stores experience Understand and practice good housekeeping and safety standards.  Read and understand materials, procedures and instructions, including the entering and retrieval of electronic data.  Understand goods receiving and storage requirements.  Understand quality systems requirements.  Suggest improvements in the work place.  Attain level 3/4 skills assessment exercise.
