Full-Time OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Operations Manager must ensure that all business operations are efficient in terms of using as little resources as needed, and effective in terms of meeting customer requirements. The person filling this role is concerned with managing the processes that converts inputs (in the forms of materials, labour and energy) into outputs (in the form of goods and/or services).
Key Performance Areas:
Talent Management and Development:
Manage, monitor, allocate and schedule the movements and activities of resources under your control.
Ensure that all administration such as annual leave, sick leave, time sheets, overtime and expense claims are authorized, approved in line with Group Policies.
Appoint and promote, where necessary, relevant resources which support the Business objectives, whilst adhering to transformation plans.
Ensure annual staff satisfaction surveys are completed.
Set regional staffs’ KPA’s and annual staff performance appraisals and assessments.
Ensure that all staff members have completed and updated development plans annually. Ensure and foster a productive Corporate culture thereby reducing staff turnover in line with general staff turnover targets.
Stakeholders (Internal and External):
Provide inputs and support for Customer Satisfaction Surveys (NPS) which will be conducted bi-annually.
?Foster and improve vendor / supplier relationships.
Participation in annual business planning process including :
Providing inputs into strategic planning and overall business plan process.
Providing inputs and participate in budgeting process.
Providing inputs and participate in annual salary review process.
Participation and providing monthly input in monthly business forecasting and review process.
Manage the day to day activities in line with our Business support systems.
Upholding strict and effective SHEQ (including ISO 9001) measures within the business ensuring that staff meets the requirements of relevant legislation and Group Policies in this regard at all times.
Structure and provide regular feedback and reporting for all areas of responsibility to the Business Unit Executive.
Growth and Profitability:
Achieve growth targets (Order Entry, Turnover, Gross Margin and PBIT) for the business as per agreed KPA’s
Job RequirementsFormal Qualifications: Business or B.Sc degree- preferable or Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Management Minimum 8 years’ experience within Operations Management Skills, Experience and Competencies: Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales operations, business development and strategic planning. Ability to earn the respect and trust of staff as well as external constituencies. At least 15 years of experience, with 8 in a management level position. Demonstrated leadership abilities and achievement orientated. Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills. Ability to lead, plan and manage change. Initiative. Strong organizational skills. Strong time management skills. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to set priorities. 10+ years Experience in the Carrier Solutions Market Tier 1 & 2 Wireless & fixed line site build experience (Mirowave, GSM, Wifi, F/O, DWDM, etc)
